At Chabad, our primary goal is to provide an early education program in which the foundations for a lifetime of creative learning are developed within the child. The most important element of the educational process is the child. The child learns more easily during the early years than at any later period of life.
Due to an excellent teacher/student ratio, as well as a fundamental belief in the creative ability of the children, the Chabad Academy provides instruction which is child-centered and emphasizes the individuality of the child. Our environment is designed to support the whole child in his/her learning process through hands-on activities, enriched classrooms, and dedicated nurturing teachers.
Most learning patterns, good or bad, develop from birth and are firmly established by age seven or eight. In addition, the kind of self-image, positive or negative, which a child acquires by age six, sets his/her personality. Children who master pro-social skills and attributes feel better about themselves and others. They have a sense of self-esteem which not only correlates to positive behavior, but to greater achievement in the academic basics. The Chabad program is designed to be developmentally appropriate for the children.
A dedication to the learning process demonstrates this commitment to the individual by allowing the child to incorporate his or her own language and interests. In addition, Chabad encourages children to develop their capabilities at their own pace, and recognizes the uniqueness of every child. Each child learns in a creative and loving atmosphere which promotes achievement and cooperation. Chabad is focused on excellence that prepares children not for just school but for life.
