Borrowing or Stealing?

Monday, 10 January, 2011 - 8:28 pm

In the plague of Darkness- חושך the Jewish people were able to scout out all the Egyptians best hiding places of fancy clothes, jewels, and other valuables.

Before leaving Egypt, each Jewish person went to his or her Egyptian neighbor and asked to "borrow" gold, silver, clothes, and more.

We left Egypt and never came back! We never returned those objects!

Were the Jews allowed to "borrow" and never return?

Answer in the comments for a special prize before Thursday, January 13.

No. If you dont give it back it is like stealing. If you give it back it is borrowing, but if you didnt it is stealing.
