Did Yaakov Lie?

 Dear Chabad Academy Students,

On Friday, Rabbi Doron told us about two brothers. One brother was supposed to receive blessings, so he went to make food for his father. Meanwhile, his twin came, served his father food to receive the blessings instead. His father asked,

"Who is this?" He said,

"I am. Esav (is) your firstborn."

Was that a lie?

no he didn't! i am and esav is your first born are to different sentences. he first said i am. then his second sentence was esav is your first born.

I think yaakov didn't lie because he was born in his mom stomake first and yaakov told esav if you want the soup you have to give me the bracha so esav said ok i will so he told his dad that he is esav so yaakovs dad gave him the bracha.
