Chabad Academy:Work Hard - Play Hard

A Chabad Academy Blog for the students, by the students.

Model Seder

Parents were invited to join in as we had a rehearsal Passover Seder - though it almost felt like the real thing with all that grape juice, matza, vegetables, and song! Chabad Academy students are so knowledgeable and inquisitive! Thank you Morah Chanie for coordinating the event! Thank you parents, teachers, and students!

Under the clear sky each of us had a tr to roll out the flour and water dough and poke some holes. In less than eighteen minutes our Matzas were in the oven! Careful- NOT  Kosher for Passover! :)

Have a Happy and Kosher Pesach!

Thank you to Dovie, Levi, and Shoimy for running this event.IMG_2890.JPG

Chabad Academy Torah Fair!

bh

This past Tuesday, April 5th, was our very first Torah Fair! Studentsstudied and presented topics of their choice ranging from the Six Days of Creation to the ten Plagues and the lives of our forefathers, Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov, and many interesting mitzvot like the Nazir who promises not to drink wine or cut his hair for a certain period of time.

All student decorated a poster board which included the passuk they worked from and the explanation of Rashi, a basic 11th century commentator. The students wrote a summary of their idea and also shared what they learned for life.

The Judges: R' Menachem Aizenman, Yossi Elmalih, and Aharon Ben Hamo.
