Chabad Academy:Work Hard - Play Hard

A Chabad Academy Blog for the students, by the students.

New Swings!

We are enjoying the new swings in our playground.

The first throught fourth grades go outdoors for break between 10:45 and 11:00 am everyday. We play and eat snack to recharge before our next class.

After lunch, we go outdoors for recess in the large playground and field.

School-wide Creative Writing Event !

Our School got together in the afternnon, and listened as Mrs. Jeni, read a story called The Best Place, by Susan Meddaugh.

Now it was our turn: We created a picture of our very own best places and shared some of them: "My Home" and "Israel" were popular. Some students chose Candy Land, Digital World, and Wish World.

Next we created word webs describing how we feel in our favorite place. "Super", "Happy", and "Special" were some of them.

We will use our word webs and illustrations to write a paragraph about our favortie places. Can;t wait to share it with you!

Creative Sukkas!

If you were asked to create a model Sukkah, what would you use?

Morah Dini asked the fourth grade to do just that and they produced beautiful, creative mini- Sukkahs! Good job fourth Grade!

Can you believe! Our fifth graders have become Shofar experts!

From sawing and drilling to sanding and  polishing the genuine ram's horn, we have made our own Shofars! We can even blow them.

We couldn't have done without the help of Rabbi Yossi and Yarden Tamir. Thank you!
